The world faces the fundamental problems of increasing waste and decreasing resources as it tries to cope with the increasing consumption of a growing population. It is clear that these challenges can only be met through a fundamentally different approach to the way that we consume resources. This lecture by Professor James Clark shows that by considering waste as an opportunity rather than a problem we can move towards a truly sustainable resource consumption model and give our children some hope for the future. He uses real examples of materials that we currently spend money to dispose of that can instead be seen as a valuable resource.
